GARNET PORTA Door Leaf Machining Center
What is the Garnet Porta Door Machining Center?
The Garnet Porta is a high-precision, 4-axis CNC machining center purpose-built for the door manufacturing industry. It is designed to perform essential operations such as hinge recessing, lock cylinder milling, handle hole drilling, and slot opening directly onto a completed door leaf.
What makes the Porta unique is its ability to process the top, bottom, and front surfaces of a door using a single, high-performance 5.6 kW servo-controlled motor. Instead of manually flipping or repositioning a heavy door, the machine’s 4-axis capability allows the spindle to reach multiple faces with absolute accuracy. With a standard 4-piece automatic tool magazine, the Garnet Porta automates the most labor-intensive parts of door fabrication, ensuring every hinge and lock fits perfectly, every time.

Built to accommodate large-format doors, the GARNET PORTA supports door dimensions of up to 144 inches in length, 55 inches in width, 6 inches in height, and 5 inches in surface width, making it ideal for both standard and custom door production. Its robust design and precise motion control ensure consistent results across all operations.
Processing begins with the door profile placed on the input conveyor, facing the servo-controlled robot. Powered by FANUC automation, operators can easily enter custom parameters or select pre-programmed machining sequences through an intuitive touchscreen interface. With a single command, the system executes the selected operations on each surface in the defined order.
The robotic handling system automatically transfers the door to the processing area, where vertical pneumatic pistons securely clamp the profile for machining. Once the first side is completed, the robot moves the door to the output conveyor. For opposite-side processing, the operator simply flips the door onto the horizontal ball conveyor, and the robot performs precise referencing for the second operation. With automated positioning and repeatable sequencing, the GARNET PORTA delivers seamless, high-precision door processing combining flexibility, automation, and productivity in one intelligent solution.
