NOVA MX Edge-banding Machine
The NOVA MX Edge-banding Machine incorporates a complete set of precision-engineered features designed to deliver consistent edge-banding quality, smooth workflow, and high-level automation throughout the production process.
Control begins with the Touch Screen Interface, which allows operators to manage every unit individually and adjust settings with ease. Adhesive bonding is optimized by the Pressure Rollers with Servo Control, consisting of one large and four small rollers that automatically position themselves according to the edge-band thickness, ensuring the correct pressure is applied for strong and uniform adhesion.
Panel positioning accuracy is maintained by the Servo-Controlled Entrance Fence, which moves smoothly on linear guides via a servo motor and backlash-free screw. This system adjusts precisely according to the pre-milling requirements of the workpiece. Stability during transport is ensured by the Machine Top Pressure System, built with five 40 mm solid steel columns that form a rigid, long-lasting pressure structure across the conveyor line. This design guarantees consistent accuracy over years of use.
To protect the machine from operator timing errors, the Distance Setting Piston prevents panels from being fed too closely together, avoiding potential damage. At the start of the process, the Anti-Adhesive Agent Unit sprays a specially formulated chemical onto the upper and lower surfaces of laminated parts, preventing glue overflow from sticking and ensuring easy cleaning before polishing.
Edge preparation continues with the Pre-Milling Unit, where machining depth is set through the control panel and executed by a high-precision servo-driven entrance fence. Two high-frequency motors remove up to 3 mm of material, eliminating imperfections and preparing the edge for a perfect bonding surface. Excess band at the front and rear of the panel is removed by the Snipping Unit, which mechanically copies the workpiece dimensions and trims the band with angle-adjustable saws.
Consistent trimming performance is maintained throughout the day by the Servo-Controlled Milling Unit, which ensures stable quality without requiring manual readjustments. The Servo-Controlled Rounder Unit automatically adapts to different band thicknesses using precision motors and encoders, with two independent high-frequency motors delivering accurate corner rounding.
Surface refinement continues with the Glue Application Unit, which removes any remaining glue residue on the upper and lower surfaces. The Radius Scraper Unit follows by shaping the top and bottom edges to match the milling radius, eliminating defects and enhancing the final surface quality.
The process concludes with the Buffing Unit, where the workpiece passes through polishing wheels for final cleaning and a smooth, professionally finished appearance.
Together, these features create a highly automated, precise, and reliable edge-banding system capable of delivering consistently superior results.
