NOVA MXG Edge-banding Machine

The NOVA MXG Edge-banding Machine integrates a series of advanced, precision-oriented features designed to optimize edge-banding performance, ensure consistent quality, and provide an operator-friendly workflow from start to finish.

Control of all functions begins with the Touch Screen Interface, which enables each unit to be managed individually for maximum operational flexibility. Adhesion quality is ensured by the Autoset Servo Control Pressure System, featuring one large and four small rollers that automatically adjust their position based on band thickness to apply the ideal pressing force.

Material stability is supported by the Machine Top Pressure System, built with five 40 mm solid steel columns that form a rigid pressure structure along the conveyor line. This durable design maintains long-term precision and reliability throughout the machine’s service life. To protect the units from improper panel loading, the Distance Setting Piston regulates feeding intervals, preventing damage caused by back-to-back board entry.

Before processing, the Anti-Adhesive Agent Unit sprays a specially formulated chemical onto the upper and lower surfaces of laminated panels. This prevents glue overflow from adhering to the surface and ensures easier cleaning before polishing. Edge preparation continues with the Pre-Milling Unit, which uses two high-frequency motors to remove up to 3 mm from the panel edge. Its cutting depth is controlled by the movement of the entrance fence, creating an optimal surface for band application.

Excess band at the panel’s front and rear is removed by the Snipping Unit, which uses mechanical copying to detect panel edges and cut accurately; both saws can be angle-adjusted for maximum precision. Continuous trimming performance is ensured by the Autoset Milling Unit, which maintains consistent quality throughout the day without requiring manual readjustment.

Edge refinement is carried out by the Radius Scraper Unit, which shapes both top and bottom edges to match the milling radius, eliminating imperfections and improving the final surface quality. Any glue residues left after trimming are removed by the Glue Joint Scraper, ensuring the panel is clean and ready for the final finishing stage.

The Buffing Unit completes the process by passing the workpiece between polishing wheels for a final cleaning and shine. For additional processing needs, the Jumping Grooving Saw Unit can create continuous or closed-end channels between 3 and 10 mm, offering flexibility for different panel designs.

Together, these features provide a streamlined, highly precise, and durable edge-banding solution that combines automation, reliability, and excellent finishing capabilities.
