NAVIGA M X180S Edge-banding Machine

The NAVIGA M X180S Edge-banding Machine integrates a comprehensive set of advanced, feature-rich systems designed for precision, automation, and seamless edge banding operations.

It begins with the Anti-Glue Unit, which sprays a specialized cleaning fluid onto both sides of the panel to prepare surfaces for subsequent polishing. The Front Milling Unit then pre-processes the panel edges, adjusting automatically through a servo-driven inlet guard. With two high-frequency motors, it trims up to 3 mm for a clean and uniform edge. The Infrared Preheater ensures optimal glue adhesion by warming the surface of the workpiece, preventing delamination and bonding issues caused by temperature differences.

The Pre-Melt Glue Unit uses a dual-stage inverter-controlled system to regulate glue flow precisely, reducing excess and preventing burn-in. The Saw Unit, equipped with dual angled saws, trims the edge banding accurately by tracking the workpiece mechanically. Both the Servo-Controlled Milling Unit and Servo-Controlled Rounder Unit maintain consistent processing quality throughout the day, automatically adjusting to edge thicknesses with high precision.

The Radius Scraping Unit smooths the upper and lower edges to eliminate surface defects, while the Glue Scraping Unit removes leftover glue and banding residue. This is followed by the Cleaning Liquid Unit, which repeats a fine spray of cleaning chemicals to prepare the surface for the Polishing Unit, where felt wheels perform the final polish and cleaning. The Jumping Channel Saw Unit provides flexible grooving capabilities, cutting precise channels between 3 and 10 mm.

Supporting systems enhance reliability and control. The Servo-Controlled Front Shield operates on linear guideways for accurate adjustment relative to the material removal, while the Servo-Controlled Printing Rollers ensure even adhesive pressure through one large and four small rollers that self-adjust based on band thickness. The Automatic Lubrication System keeps the crawler chain well-oiled to prevent heat buildup, and the V-Belt Upper Pressure System—featuring a 70 mm wide belt—distributes uniform pressure without marking polished surfaces, ensuring stable material transport at speeds up to 25 m/min.

Optional features include the Narrow Part Feeding System for handling smaller components and a 3D Fault Detection System that visually displays machine errors through interactive 3D animations on the touchscreen interface. The machine’s 15-inch Control Screen provides complete control over all units, functioning as an intelligent “nervous system” that identifies malfunctions in real time. This allows operators to quickly diagnose and correct issues without requiring external technical assistance, ensuring uninterrupted production and maximum efficiency.
